MTNA teachers from OhioMTA Southwest and Northern Kentucky will bring a 24-minute silent film to life with live piano accompaniment.

On Saturday, January 31, 2026, after the Winter Piano Pedagogy Conference, MTNA teachers from OhioMTA Southwest and Northern Kentucky will gather at Northern Kentucky University for a one-of-a-kind performance.

Together, we’ll accompany a 24-minute silent film with live piano, using two pianos on stage so each teacher can step in seamlessly.

This event is open to all active MTNA members in our districts and yes, your students and families are invited to watch you perform!

When: Saturday, January 31, 2026 @ 3pm (after the NKU Conference)
Where: Northern Kentucky University (thanks to Richard Van Dyke and the NKU Music Department for hosting us).
Who’s Playing: You! This event is open to all active MTNA members from OhioMTA-SW and NKMTA.
What’s Happening: A 24-minute silent film with live piano. Two pianos will be on stage so performers can transition smoothly between scenes.
